New Eboard Elected - next meeting 4-13-16
The membership meeting on February 10, 2016 was bittersweet as some D11 Democratic Club Board members stepped down and new Board members stepped up. Most notably, our past president, Brigitte Davila, told us in November that she would not be running for re-election as President of the District 11 Democratic Club. Her duties as City College Trustee and member of the Balboa Reservoir CAC are taking up most of her time. We will miss her and all she brought to the Club. During her tenure she expanded the outreach of the Club considerably and brought the Club into the 21st Century with "new-fangled" innovations such as a Club logo and brand, social media platforms, streamlined Club email and a website (The one you are now reading!). She also diversified the Club in terms of age and ethnicity. Last, but not least, she brought back old-fashioned precinct walking with our slate information, further raising the profile of the Club. Roger Underhill also left the Board this year. He served in one of the Member-At-Large positions for several terms as a stalwart supporter of the Club and always present at Board and Club events. Roger is a volleyball referee and, sadly, his Wednesdays and Saturdays are now off limits and that prevents him from continuing on in this role. Thank you also to Claire Zvanski who will be retiring as our past-president. We will miss them all, but hope they will still be around as active members.

The neighborhoods of Cayuga Terrace, Crocker Amazon, Excelsior, Ingleside, Merced Heights, Mission Terrace, Oceanview & Outer Mission have a lot at stake this year. We will, for the first time in 8 years, elect a new supervisor in District 11. The office of supervisor is extremely important as City Hall often forgets our little corner of San Francisco. We need someone to remind them that our District is the most ethnically diverse, has the most homeowners, has more children under 18 than any other district in San Francisco. Our issues include reliable and appropriate public transportation, housing for middle class and working class residents, appropriate support for recreation facilities considering the number of children in this district, support for small business on the Geneva, Mission and Ocean Avenue corridors, just to name a few to start. We want your issues also. What are the burning issues in your neighborhood? Please include yours either in the comment section below or at our next Membership Meeting on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Ingleside Police Community Room, 1 John V. Young Drive in Balboa Park. For more info and to RSVP click http://www.sfd11dems.com/calendar

Eboard makes recommendations to membership after 6 hour marathon of candidate and ballot measure presentations.
August 22, 2015 - Eight of the nine eboard members spent 6 hours interviewing candidates, listening to presentations and asking a lot of questions. Although some recommendations were unanimous, some required considerable discussion and were by majority vote. We don't always agree, but we do have serious respectful discussions based on our own research, questionnaire responses, interviews and presentations.
Members will make the final decision regarding endorsements at our Membership Endorsement Meeting, on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 6:30 pm at Henry's Hunan Restaurant, 4753 Mission Street in the ♥ of District 11.
This will be the Club's final endorsement positions for the November 3 election. All continuing members in good standing are eligible to vote. All members of one month or more are also eligible to vote.
Please feel free to comment on the endorsements, pro or con on our facebook page or to this posting. Without further ado, the following are the San Francisco District 11 Democratic Club eboard recommendations to the members:
