McLaren Park Redwood Grove Group Picnic Area - WestLabor Day 2026
The SF D11 Dems Club is excited to be hosting our annual Labor Day Picnic. Please join us on Monday, September 6th for fun in the park!
Join us for the SF District 11 Democratic Club Labor Day Picnic as we celebrate the strength, resilience, and joy that come from being together. At a time when many are facing uncertainty and attacks, gathering in community is an act of care, solidarity, and hope.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to share a meal, build new connections, and enjoy an afternoon of laughter, conversation, and belonging. Together, we'll take a moment to pause, recharge, and remember that our diversity is our strength and that we are stronger when we stand together.
We are excited to host our picnic again at Redwood Grove Group Picnic Area-West in McLaren Park. We will offer lunch*, picnic games, raffle prizes, and most importantly, the opportunity to mingle with fellow SF District 11 Democratic Club members.
*We are collaborating again with Deli Man to offer boxed lunches for those who choose to purchase. You do not have to purchase a meal to attend the picnic, and are welcome to bring your own food. While the picnic area does include grills, we will not be lighting them due to safety concerns.

DIRECTIONS
PICNIC LOCATION: Redwood Grove Group Picnic Area-West (133 John F. Shelley Drive)
- Via CAR: The closest parking is at the intersection of Cambridge and Shelley. Shelley is closed to traffic beyond that intersection. There is a 0.2 mile walk to the Picnic Area. Parking is limited.
- Via BUS: Take the 54 and exit at Shelley and Mansell. Walk downhill 0.2 miles to Shelley & Cambridge, turn right on Shelley for 0.2 miles
- Via CAR POOL: Highly recommended! Ride with a neighbor or two. See car instructions above.
