SF D11 Dems November 2024 Endorsements - Final
The PAC committee conducted interviews on Saturday, Aug 24, Sunday, Aug 25, and Tuesday, August 27, 2024. The District 11 Democratic Club general membership will cast their endorsement vote on the November 2024 election on September 7, 2024 following the Candidate Forum. We had a joint Voter Education Forum with the SF D11 Council on September 7th were members had the opportunity to hear from candidates and ballot measures.
Per the bylaws of the District 11 Democratic Club, all ballot measures must receive a simple majority (50%+1) in order to receive an endorsement or recommendation. If the ballot measure did not reach this threshold, the recommendation will be listed as “No Position”.
Section 6 of our bylaws states that candidates must receive 60% of votes cast to receive an endorsement or recommendation. Per the authority granted in Article 8 Section 2 of our bylaws, the Executive Board voted to suspend the 60% threshold for candidates races for the November 2024 PAC recommendations only. This motion passed with 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 3 absent. Please note, this decision was made with careful consideration and after robust deliberation.
The 60% threshold remains for the SF D11 Dems endorsement vote that took place on September 7th.

November SF D11 Dems Board Recommendations
On August 8th the PAC committee sent all candidates seeking office and approved ballot measures our endorsement questionnaire. The questionnaires were due on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:55pm. We stated in our communications that in order to be considered for an endorsement and participate in our PAC process – including participate in interviews, be considered for a PAC recommendation, and be able to be invited to present at the Sept 7th candidate forum – one must submit a questionnaire. We made all reasonable efforts to connect with every candidate and measures listed on the November 2024 ballot, and accommodated all requests to submit a questionnaire past the original deadline up until August 30th. Additionally, only candidates that are registered Democrats were considered for endorsement.

2023 ADEMS Race and Voting Information
Register for ADEMs!
In January, California Democrats can vote in the Assembly District Election Meetings (ADEMs) for delegates to the California Democratic Party (CDP).
What is ADEMs?
ADEMS stands for Assembly Delegates. Assembly Delegates heavily influence the Democratic Party's endorsements for state and federal offices. They also have the opportunity to join CDP committees and influence the CDP political and policy agendas.
Why is it important to participate in the voting for Assembly Delegates?
It’s important that we vote for Assembly Delegates who will represent us on issues we care about and will push the CDP to follow through with their policy initiatives.
Key Dates:
We encourage all Democrats to register for a mail ballot by December 31. Voters will receive their ballots in January, and they must return ballots by January 31.
If you like the experience of voting in person, to register for in person voting must happen by January 22nd.

Saturday, January 7th AD-17 Voting 10 am - 2 pm
